Healthier-U

WELCOME

Healthier Hair and U (HHAU) is a resource for women who are thinking about transitioning from relaxed hair to their natural texture.  HHAU also provides information on how to improve the condition of body, mind, finance, relationship and spirit that are undergirded with biblical principles.

We should always strive to discover what it means to experience God's best and what He has purposed for His beloved daughters. Remember that God said in His words "For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.  Jeremiah 29:11. NIV.  Discover more by searching through the pages of this website.

Loving Me As Is 2011:

Last Year, we had our first "Loving Me As Is" event Sunday, May 22, 20111. We had a  wonderful time! My heart was full when I saw these dynamic jewels of God spanning from the age of 9 months to 82, sharing powerful stories of tragedy and triumph. God was gloried that day. We received free massages, listen to a guest author who conducted a book signing, witnessed professional makeovers, received free advice from a fashion consultant, trained counselor and personal trainer.

Check out our Multimedia page to review the program and photos. Also, read the "AS IS" poem which was penned by one of our guest experts, Belinda Gordon-Battle.  She wrote this poem shortly after leaving the "Loving Me AS IS" event. Please take a moment to read it and leave a comment by clicking your "Guest Book" page. Click link below to view all the photos from the event.

Building Healthy Relationships:

It takes pressure, selflessness, complete trust and a real love to establish the building blocks required to have healthy relationships. A relationship can be between a man and a woman, a mother and her daughter, a father and his son, a teacher and student, a lawyer and client, a doctor and a patient or vendor and its customer. In other words, it takes two to form a relationship. Read more on the "My Relationship" page.

Being Spiritually Healthy:

Some of us realize that it takes more than just attending church every Sunday, saying a few prayers and quoting scriptures to have the faith and power required what it means to be "more than conquerors" in this world. In fact, I am convinced that we must have a clear understanding of God's word come to truly walk the walk and talk the talk.  It takes sacrificing our desires and our time and staying in God's face to fully understand His purpose for our life. To whom much is given much is required.

Law students study a myriad of subjects and argue or debate a litany of issues about the law in order to prepare in passing the bar exam to practice law. As Christians, we can follow a similarly regimen and study the entire bible everyday only to end up never learning how to put unconditional love into practice. Real love can ONLY come from God our Father. Therefore, love serves as the basis for every relationship. Therefore, if you don't learn how to love yourself unconditionally, then you will never know how to really love others.  The good news is we can start today with Loving Me As Is.  Read more by clicking the "MY Relationship" page.
